I teach courses in popular culture, cultural studies, cybercultures, contemporary literature, composition, and applied critical writing about the arts and media. My research and teaching interests include the use of technology in education, visual and media culture, virtual identity re/constructs, and the performance of digital/virtual and cyborg bodies. I hold a B.A. in English Literature from Smith College, an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College Chicago, and an A.M. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Chicago. I am currently a Cultural Studies doctoral student at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Publications include six chapters in Creating Academic & Professional Success (Agate Publishing, 2007), as well as articles and reviews within DEMO, the University of Chicago MagazineSouth Loop Review, and NewCity Chicago.
