Response Assignment #9:

In response to Reading for November 1st

Due November 1st (minimum 2 pages):

In no less than two (2) pages, in journal form, write about your own thoughts and experiences in response to both articles. They both seem to take different perspectives - what have your experiences been, and do you agree or disagree with each of the authors? Write this response paper based on your own and your friends' experiences. There is no need to site any other sources, but it is necessary to still explain why you agree or disagree, using EXPERIENCE/S to back up your thoughts this time, rather than sources. Some things to keep in mind:

  1. Don't try to tackle the whole of each article, though it's necessary that you understand the main point that each is trying to make. But consider just a few main points that each author is making in each article, or one particular issue or point that grabbed your attention in each reading, and write about that.

  2. Did something that the author said in each article really resonate with you? why? have you had that particular experience? describe your own experience/s.

  3. Did something that one of the authors write sound totally wrong to you? why? explain why you disagree and describe some experience you or your friends have had that you think totally debunks what that author wrote.

  4. Or maybe you are a middle of the road kind of person and found a little truth and a little bullshit in each; again, explain and then write a bit about your own experiences with what each author was writing about (their overall point/s).

** Always, always back up your thoughts with some example, quote, or explanation.
